At BinBreeze, our mission is to reduce the impact of food waste wherever it is produced. We make food-waste diversion—or “organics recycling”—easier and better for the planet. We were once just like you: setting up fruit fly traps and pinching our noses every time we opened the compost bin. We knew there had to be a better way to manage food waste at home and in the office, and that insight led us to found BinBreeze.

BinBreeze is the world's first all-natural, non-toxic indoor composting powder. This circular-economy product is made from waste wood that would otherwise be burned. The wood is processed and combined with specialty minerals. BinBreeze is scientifically formulated to instantly eliminate compost odours and emissions, naturally dehydrate and eliminate fruit flies, and create better compost for gardens and communities. BinBreeze is fuelled by Taylor’s creative innovation, positive energy, and passion for sustainability.

Harmen Zijlstra
BSc, MSc, PhD
Harmen is a PhD chemist and science-driven entrepreneur. Harmen teaches chemistry at the University of Victoria and brings more than 10 years of experience to our product research and development. Born in the Netherlands, Harmen has lived in five countries and brings international experience and connections that have helped BinBreeze grow.
